Sleep is More Important Than You Think, Here’s Why.
Dan is an entrepreneur and researcher whose life’s work is centered on how to facilitate health behaviors in others. He is the CEO of dansplan.com, a health and technology company that combines optimal health strategies with his own behavior model - the Loop Model to Sustain Health Behaviors. He performs research with the Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences Department at Stanford and the Departments of Neurology and Endocrinology at Leiden University in the Netherlands. His research looks at the way in which sleep influences decision making. In addition to publishing his own research, he also serves as an Editor for the Journal of Evolution and Health. Formerly, Dan served as Board Chairman of the Investigator Initiated Research Association (IISRA.org), a global non-profit aimed to promote best practices in independent, academic research grants, and was also a Division 1 Strength and Conditioning Coach where he designed year-round training protocols for 13 different athletic teams.
